2010-2011 School year
Bienvenidos a la clase de Espanol. I am Mrs. Fernandez and I teach pre-k through 8th grade Spanish.
Pre-k and kindergaten will learn the following topics:
-Greetings-Saludos
-Alphabet-Abecedario
-Colors-Colores
-Counting up to the number 20 with music
-Describing feelings-Describiendo sentimientos
-Describing the weather as well as other things
1st grade - 5th grade will learn the following:
-Review topics that were covered last year
-Alphabet and be able to spell names in Sapnish
-Seasons, months, and weather
-Respond appropriately to verbal greetings and
farewells
-Know and correctly pronounce numbers.
-Short stories with Power Point Presentations.
6th grade - 8th grade will learn the following:
-South America Countries
with Power Point Presentation (paises que se habla Espanol)
-Celebration of Hispanic Heritage and Famous
people in the History
-Reading and Writing in Spanish fluently during
class
- I will also be talking more in Spanish
-Spanish program with Audio CD for pronunciation
practice on and activity sheet.
-Recite, correctly pronounce use of new or
unfamiliar words with reasonable accuracy
-Know, understand, and be able to spell the
days, months, and related vocabulary
- Write questions , answers, and statements
* using their SPANISH DICTIONARY
-etc.
NOTE: Please come prepared to class with a Spanish notebook (USE SPANISH NOTEBOOK ONLY FOR SPANISH) No excuses. Thanks.
-Study at least 10 or 15 minutes every night especially the new Vocabulary and Grammar.
